WE VISITED THE BEACH before we headed out to the lighthouse. (bunnytrail) as my close friends have heard me say for years" i loved lighthouses before they even became popular". i have been to every lighthouse in the lower peninsula of Michigan and probably 1/2 of the ones in the U.P. mike and i used to 2 track around in his pickup when we'd go up north looking for lighthouses. we had a detailed map of all the roads in Mich. it was also labeled with lighthouses. alot of them were in bad repair-20 some years ago..........i wonder how they all are now......anyway, here are Paula, me and Sallie at the top of the lighthouse-219steps. not as many as mike and i did at a lighthouse in California-around 350?! each way and we did it 2 days to watch the whales(another bunnytrail) we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lighthouse.
