6. SEARCHING FOR ALASKA

THE VERY NEXT morning we headed out for our tours-my mom went on the tour on the only road in DENALI for 8 hours and i went to the END of the road-14 hours on a school bus!  i wondered how i would do, but decided to just go for it. this might be the only time i got to do this.

our guide was wonderful and a wealth of info.  Lots of stories and she told them with a story tellers quality.  she did the IDIDAROD!  she wrote a book about her adventure and i read it.

a park ranger boarded our bus and talked about our drive thru the park

at the end of the road when another ranger got on board our bus, he took up on a short hike to the lake and to FANNY QUIGLEY'S last cabin in denali nat'l park.  she was the ultimate pioneer woman.  i bought a book about her  and read it.

this quilt was just an amazing piece of art work.  the pictures don't do it justice.
the 14 hour bus ride was sooo worth it.
next- this is a list of everything we saw, and not all could i get pictures of.
